THE SAW STORY
Sarnia Artists' Workshop is a group of people who share a common interest in the study and promotion of visual arts.
Its members not only mentor and encourage each other, but also work together to foster the advancement of visual arts in the community.
SAW's Mandate is to help members in the study of their
chosen forms of visual arts and promote the appreciation
of the visual arts in SAW members and in the community.
Today, SAW has expanded to include 103 artist members.
The group includes artists who work in various art forms
including drawing, painting, wheel thrown and hand built
pottery, prints, photography, wood-turning and carving,
fabric or textile art, jewelry, stained and fused glass.
SAW collaborates with Sarnia Community Services to
provide an annual Children's Art Program
held for one day each summer at the Children's Farm in Canatara Park.
Membership is open to anyone interested in visual arts. New members are always welcome.
